The 4th Sichuan-Chongqing Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Expo, with the theme of "Sichuan-Chongqing Cooperation to Jointly Build a High-Quality Living and Habitable Place", was filled with "new" trends and "new quality" everywhere at the exhibition site.
The exhibition and display area brings together the cutting-edge achievements of over 160 leading and on-chain enterprises, and is divided into five major theme exhibition areas: high-quality living and habitable places, resilient and safe, industrialized construction and digital housing and urban-rural development.
Since its launch in 2021, the Sichuan-Chongqing Housing Expo has been successfully held for four consecutive years, attracting nearly 800 units and leading enterprises in the industry to participate.
This exhibition has truly become the "number one barometer" in the housing and urban-rural development field in the western region.
It is not only a display platform, but also an engine for industrial cooperation and development. From 2021 to 2024, the housing and urban-rural development departments of Sichuan and Chongqing have released four opportunity lists, containing over 3,300 pieces of demand information, covering multiple fields such as urban renewal and improvement, rail transit, urban roads, rural revitalization, and intelligent construction, with a total investment exceeding 1.5 trillion yuan.
At the exhibition, a number of innovative intelligent construction technologies were showcased, demonstrating the strong momentum of Sichuan and Chongqing in cultivating new quality productive forces.
The exhibition also specially set up a special exhibition area for construction robots. A total of 107 products (works) won awards in the competition, covering multiple construction links such as building operation and maintenance and quality inspection, road health inspection, and tower crane safety monitoring.
The Sichuan-Chongqing Housing Expo is not only a stage for showcasing technologies, but also a testing ground for the innovation of regional cooperation and coordinated development mechanisms. At this exhibition, the housing and urban-rural development departments of Sichuan and Chongqing released the second batch of 25 new technologies for promotion and application, and also released the selection list involving 40 types of equipment.
The continuous holding of the Sichuan-Chongqing Housing Expo has promoted the deep integration and coordinated development of the construction industry in the two regions. Data shows that in 2021, local enterprises in Chongqing achieved a production value of 37.392 billion yuan in Sichuan.
This figure further increased to 39.85 billion yuan from January to September 2024, representing a growth of 18% over the previous year. A total of 3,060 Chongqing enterprises have entered the Sichuan market, while 2,946 Sichuan enterprises have entered the Chongqing market. The exchanges and cooperation between construction enterprises of the two places have become increasingly frequent.
In addition to economic cooperation, the Sichuan-Chongqing Housing Expo has also become an exchange platform for the protection and development of traditional villages. At present, Chongqing has built five digital museums (physical museums) for traditional villages, which use naked-eye 3D technology and immersive projection to add digital support to the protection of traditional villages.
By participating in the Housing Expo, many enterprises have gained substantial business growth and regional expansion opportunities.
