Recently, the third National Construction Robot Competition with the theme of "Intelligent Construction · Smart Future Sharing" in 2025 concluded successfully in Chongqing. This year's competition attracted over 150 top teams from research institutes, universities and enterprises across the country, with the number of submitted works reaching a new high. It showcased the cutting-edge robot technologies in China's entire construction industry chain, including intelligent measurement, automated construction and smart operation and maintenance.

01 The event has been upgraded, with its scale and level reaching new heights

As one of the most influential annual professional competitions in the field of intelligent construction in China, this year's competition has achieved remarkable breakthroughs in terms of the scale of participation, the breadth of technology and the depth of application.

The participating teams covered almost all key domestic units that have made plans in the field of construction robots. The competition has set up three main tracks: "Creative Design", "Performance Challenge" and "Integrated Application", with over ten sub-events under them, comprehensively assessing the innovation, reliability, efficiency and scene adaptability of robots.

Compared with previous sessions, this year's competition places more emphasis on "solving real engineering problems". Most of the competition questions directly stem from the pain points in current construction, such as high-risk operations at heights, precise installation in complex environments, and intelligent detection and repair of existing buildings.

At the award ceremony, the winning teams received the trophies and certificates from their predecessors. Behind them, in the exhibition area, those robots that embody countless wisdoms stand still aside, their metal shells shining with a calm glow under the lights.

Some of them have already received trial offers from key engineering projects. The "feast of wisdom" unfolding in Chongqing is spreading its influence across construction sites across the country like ripples, quietly driving a profound and solid industrial transformation.
